about

Now for something a little different. Sonic R would probably be a forgotten drop in video game history if it wasn’t for its delightfully charming vocal soundtrack, kicking off a trend for future Sonic games. In coming up with collaborations, we wanted one track to feature an electronic artist. After arranging the brass parts and laying out the structure, we began our search. Longtime VGM cover legend bLiNd joined with the Game Brass to help co-produce this track, featuring vocals by Helen Jane Planchet, and I’d say he hit it out of the park (or racetrack, I guess). There’s no doubt it’s been a tough year, but we hope to have shined a bit of extra sunshine on all of you this summer. Can you feel it?
