What’s more “space” than some good ol’ fashioned funk? As a fan of Cowboy Bebop and Trigun, there’s truly nothing like a little bit of high-octane jazz to spice up your sci-fi fight scene – and Mad Space from Sonic Ad-venture 2 is a perfect representation of that. I wanted to stay true to the energy of the original track when arranging it for brass sextet, while also highlighting the horn (an underrated jazz instrument!) and voice. Hold onto your hats (and bats! Get it?) and strap in for a funky ride!
